Even if you need to miss a lesson we provide maximum tuition valuable musical enrichment opportunities
Chestnut Hill Music Academy features many important benefits included with your monthly tuition. One of the most important is our unique workshop program. Our students qualify to attend unlimited music workshop sessions from our pre-scheduled list, with your teacher or any teacher on our staff and even on another instrument.
In order to retain our professional and valuable teachers, CHMA must guarantee their income regardless of student attendance. Therefore, when a student misses a lesson, in fairness, the teacher is paid anyway. Therefore it is important to understand that absences for any reason will not result in a tuition credit or a specially scheduled make-up lesson.
This is where the workshop program comes in. If you miss a lesson or just want additional free musical training you can sign up for unlimited workshop sessions. Each teacher on our staff is pre-scheduled for one 60 minute workshop session each month. You will find a full list of all workshops on our website. Students can pre-register for as many of these sessions as they like even if they have not missed any lessons. What could be more fair?
The workshops are organized by instrument. They are usually one-on-one but are not guaranteed to be so. You can register for your teachers’ workshop or one offered by another teacher and even on another instrument. This is a great way to try new things, meet other teachers and be sure that you get a great value for your tuition even if you need to be absent.
In the rare instance that a teacher is absent, this of course is a different story. In that case, a private make-up lesson will be scheduled by the teacher at the student’s convenience.
