Chestnut Hill Music Academy has a unique makeup program to accommodate your busy schedule. Here is the best part about it: Our students qualify to attend unlimited sessions from our pre scheduled list even if they must give short notice or no notice at all for missed lessons. Our teachers are professionals and so CHMA must guarantee their income regardless of student attendance. Therefore when a student misses a lesson, in fairness, the teacher is paid anyway. Providing make-ups to students who miss a lesson then becomes an important issue.
Here is how it our make-up program works:
Each teacher on our staff is pre-scheduled for one 60 minute makeup session each month. A schedule of those times is on our website. (see below) Students can pre-register for as many of these sessions as they like. Even if they are not “owed” a lesson. What could be more fair?
The makeup lessons are organized by instrument and skill level. They are usually one-on-one but are not guaranteed to be so. If a teacher must miss a lesson a substitute teacher will be provided.
Here is the unique and innovative aspect of our make-up program: Students can attend a makeup lesson with any teacher and on any instrument.

1. Families get unlimited access to music teachers, so you are sure to get a great value for your tuition each month even if you need to miss lessons.
2. Students get a chance to try other instruments.
3. Students get a chance to meet other teachers.
4. Students get a chance to meet and play with other students.
